I recently showed a home to a family. The home was at the edge of the subdivision, backing up to a wash which is about a half-mile wide. Here are a couple of pictures I took from an upstairs bedroom:
One half of the couple looked out the window and said, "I love the open space. No neighbors, no barking dogs, no parties behind us. And isn't there a sidewalk over there which goes down to the park?"
The other half of the couple walked in and said, "This is great - you've got the freeway, the power lines, and the shopping center. And what happens when it rains - do all the bugs from the wash crawl up into our yard?"
Strange thing is, they're both right. This is the perfect home for one of them, but the other might never get past the flaws. It reminds me of the old Rorschach ink-blot tests from Psych 101 - "What do you see here?"
Your doesn't remember anything else from Psych 101 Realtor,
