"Your Urgent Help Needed"

Apparently, there IS one segment of the worldwide economy that has not been affected by the global financial crisis.

There are still scores of people who urgently need my help getting money out of their country. Up until recently, these helpless souls had primarily been in Africa, which made their bad spelling and atrocious grammar pardonable. But this morning brought a new variation to my email IN box!

There is a British gentleman named Dr. Richard Scott who needs my help getting $1.8 Million British pounds out of his country.  Dr. Scott is the bank's accountant and explains the $1.8 Million is the bank's profit for the past year. He assures me there's no risk involved in helping him take the bank's profit and my reward for helping him will be 30% of the money.

At today's exchange rate, that's almost $3.2 Million in US dollars. And I could get 30% of it?! Hey, maybe I'll have enough money to make a bid on Senator John McCain's former home when it's auctioned!!

By the way, somehow Dr. Scott made his way through the ranks of a major British bank, despite his marked abilities to mangle the King's English: "I am impelled to request for your assistance.... I do need to stress that there are practically no risk involved in this....  a bank-to-bank transfer to your nominated bank account anywhere you feel safer."
