McCain's Former Home To Be Auctioned

The former home of Arizona Senator John McCain will be auctioned on October 25, 2008 at 1:00pm local Phoenix time.

Originally built in 1951 and extensively remodeled since then, the home boasts 14,000 square feet of livable space on 2.7 acres, at the corner of Glendale and Central Avenues in Phoenix. The McCains lived in the home for about 20 years, raising their children there. The McCains sold the home in 2006; the current owner paid $3,200,000 for the home.

The auction will be public and all bids made in the open air. There is no minimum bid but all bids are subject to sellers' approval. The high bidder gets the home and all the furnishings, including the 22 flat screen TVs.

Interested bidders should register to attend. I have all the auction info including a short virtual tour video produced by CNN. Please call or email me if you're in the market for a bargain on 14,000 gracious square feet in central Phoenix.

I'm going to attend the auction just to see what it goes for!

See my July 2008 post about the home being listed for sale at $12,000,000!
