Well, you can't keep a good man down. Or something like that. I'm back. This blog will be up and running again.
Real estate hasn't been paying the bills this year for many of us. I shut down temporarily thinking I'd spend a few weeks finding a 'real' job. You know, one of those things where you have to show up every day at 8:00 am (not my most productive hour, to put it kindly). One of those things where they pay you based on some corporate bean counter's idea of 'living wage'. BTW, the bean counter lives in Calcutta because the position was outsourced. One of those things where they hand out a raise every year that's something larger than the annual per capita GDP of Burundi (scroll down to see the dismal number of $600 US), but a good deal less than the actual US inflation rate.
But instead of finding a place in Underpaid Cubicle Hell, I spent my days away from this blog negotiating several deals. Which is good, because after 3 years of this, I'm so far removed from my former workselves that I'm unqualified to do anything.
Except, that is, to be a kick-butt Realtor. Can you say $1,000 less than full price in 21 days? Can you say $7,000 under full price in 2 days? How about full price in 2-1/2 months? I can. I did. Those are my 3 most recent deals. I'm back, baby.
