Water-Wise Landscaping in the Arizona Desert

Tomorrow evening Peoria's Water Resources and Conservation Division is offering a free tutorial on how an interactive CD-ROM can help residents incorporate water conservation into their landscaping. They will provide all attendees with a copy of the "Water-Wise Landscaping in the Arizona Desert" CD-ROM, which enables users to search an extensive plant database, tour Arizona landscapes, explore a garden gallery with hundreds of design ideas, and get tips for landscape design, irrigation, and maintenance.

This ties in very well with the article I wrote earlier in the month (Xeriscaping), which explains that choosing the right plants for your yard will go a long way toward conserving water.

The class will be held in the Willow Room of the Peoria Main Library (8643 W Monroe St.) Visit for more info.
