Summer Programs at the Challenger Space Center in Fletcher Heights

Looking for something cool to do this summer? Check out the Challenger Space Center, right here in our own North Of Beardsley backyard! The center is offering all sorts of programs to teach kids and adults about science and the space program. They have tours, simulations, and even a week-long science camp! Some of the science-based programs are hands-on, contest-type activities – such as trying to build a heat shield on a metal rod to withstand the intensity of a blow torch! Other programs are a little less intensive, such as star gazing at night from the observation deck.

Give this article a read to learn more about it, or visit the Challenger Space Center web site at www.azchallenger.org.
