This might be one of my favorite times of the year. The weather in Phoenix is as close to perfect as you can get and what better activity to enjoy on a 75 degree sun soaked day.........watch a baseball game, eat a hot dog, and maybe even go crazy and have a beer (but make sure that a designated driver is, in fact, designated!).
Today is the first official day of Spring Training. And in the Phoenix area we are blessed to have a number of teams and sports faclities located all over the valley to choose from. The Cactus League includes 12 teams so you're sure to find a game at one of the venues that interests you.
And of course, I'm always thinking about the real estate market. Spring training will bring some 500,000 visitors from out of state (according to Cactus League commissioner JP de la Montaigne) to enjoy beautiful Arizona who may just decide that owning a home in the Phoenix area might be just what "the doctor ordered". Anything that leaves people with a good feeling about Arizona and particularly the Phoenix area is great for our market. Maybe it's not the folks that are here that are considering a move to Phoenix, maybe it's a family member or friend or co-worker, but as soon as the subject of Phoenix is mentioned the memories of Spring Training, gourgeous weather, and beautiful scenery resurfaces and they relay those memories to their family member, friend or co-worker, possibly effecting the decision to move to Phoenix. Sure it's a stretch, but a little goes a long way.
I may try and take a day to enjoy a game this year. I hope to see you out there!
