It's common sense that the real esate market is going to slow down during the holiday season - the time between Thanksgiving and New Year's, and that the last week of the year, between Christmas Day and New Year's Day, will be the slowest. This is generally true, although the last week of the year has been our busiest week of the year in two of the last three years.
This year it was even more pronounced - I think a lot of people wanted to forget about the soft market, and focus instead on the festive time of year. But now that the new year is in full swing, we've definitely noticed an uptick in activity - phone calls, showings, appointments, etc. I don't think this means much in the grand scheme of the Phoenix market, but it's always nice to know that people "out there" are still looking to buy and sell.
